Half

Half is an upcoming Malayalam action-horror film directed by Samjad, who wrote it with Praveen Viswanath. The story centres on Ethan and Ivy, twins born to parents of mixed vampire lineage, whose abilities come from that bloodline. Ranjith Sajeev and Aiswarya Raj play the twins and Amala Paul plays their mother, while Abbas and Sreekanth Murali appear as antagonists. The plot follows the siblings on a dangerous journey across a desert in a revenge-driven action story drawn from vampire lore, which the makers describe as a gory 'curry western'. The film reunites Samjad, Praveen Viswanath and Fragrant Nature Film Creations after Golam (2024), with P.K. Sajeev and Anne Sajeev producing. Indonesian stunt coordinator Very Tri Yulisman designs the action, Midhun Mukundan composes the music and Pappinu is the cinematographer. Half has its world premiere in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival 2026, reported to be the first Malayalam film in that section. It is planned in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
