Anand Menen

Lumiere Broz, the team Anand Menen formed with friends, was where he directed, produced and edited shorts such as Kutty Rashtriyam, Psycho, Shanti Muhurtham and Magneto. He had started making short films in 2013, having studied movie production at diploma level. Born on 7 November 1994 in Vaikom, Kerala, he directs, writes and edits, chiefly in Malayalam cinema. In 2020 he directed and edited the short series Kalyana Kacheri for the YouTube channel SUB Originals. That same year brought his first feature, Gauthamante Radham (2020), which he also wrote, starring Neeraj Madhav, Valsala Menon, Renji Panicker and Hareesh Kanaran. Four years on came his second, Vaazha – Biopic of a Billion Boys (2024), which collected ₹1.5 crore worldwide on its opening day. Happiloop, a family film led by Manju Warrier, Mukesh and JP Thuminad, is his upcoming project, and its first look has been released.
