Mahima Nambiar

Kaaryasthan (2010) gave a 15-year-old Mahima Nambiar her first screen role, a small part as Dileep's sister. Her given name is Gopika Palat Chirakkaraveettil; she is from Kasaragod in Kerala, went to TIHSS Naimarmoola and is a trained classical dancer and singer. While working as an advertising model, she landed her first Tamil role, the lead of Arivazhagi in Saattai (2012), which she shot while in class 12. She works mostly in Tamil and Malayalam films. She took a year off to finish school and came back with Tamil films such as Ennamo Nadakkudhu (2014), Mosakutty and Agathinai (2015). Her work in Kuttram 23 (2017) and Magamuni (2019) was well received, and Magamuni won her a Special Jury Award for best supporting actress at the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival in 2021. On the Malayalam side, she has been part of commercially successful films including Madhura Raja (2019), RDX: Robert Dony Xavier (2023), Jai Ganesh and Little Hearts (both 2024) and Bromance (2025). In the 2026 Tamil film Mandaadi she plays Angel, one of the leads.
