Guppy (2016) was his first film as an independent composer, and it won him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Background Music at the 47th edition of the awards. Scores for Ambili, Nayattu, Thallumaala, Sulaikha Manzil, Falimy, Premalu and Alappuzha Gymkhana came after. His 2026 work includes Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and the Tamil film Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil.
