Arjun Das is not getting engaged this week. His publicist Yuvraaj posted a clear denial on X on Wednesday after social media spent the day running with rumours that the actor was set for a private engagement ceremony — and a closed wedding to follow. “There is no truth in rumours doing the rounds on actor Arjun Das’s wedding. Request friends from the media to please check with us and verify facts before putting out such news reports,” Yuvraaj wrote, per Telangana Today.
The rumours had been specific enough — a small ceremony, only close family and friends — to gain traction before the team stepped in. No source for the original claim has been identified.
What Arjun Das Is Actually Preparing For
The more verifiable development around Arjun Das right now is Con City, releasing worldwide on June 26. Directed by Harish Durairaj and written by him as well, the film is a comedy family entertainer in which Arjun Das plays a man on the run from a moneylender — who, through a chance encounter involving a receipt printer and a lightning strike, finds himself in possession of a machine that produces ₹500 notes on demand. The teaser has already generated significant interest.

Anna Ben plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Imman Annachi, Akhilan, Ponvannan, Thambi Ramaiah, and Bharadwaj Rangan among others. Sean Roldan composes the music, Aravind Viswanathan handles cinematography, and Arul Moses edits.
Arjun Das has built his reputation primarily through intense dramatic and action roles — his work in Jagame Thandhiram and Master established him as one of Tamil cinema’s more compelling presences in menacing parts. Con City, a comedy with a supernatural money-printing premise, is a visible tonal shift. June 26 will show whether the range holds.
