Nimisha Sajayan
As Kanchana in the Tamil courtroom drama Enna Vilai (2026), now streaming on Netflix, Nimisha Sajayan reunited with director Sajeev Pazhoor. Most of her work is in Malayalam cinema, with roles in Tamil and Hindi films as well. Born in Mumbai in 1997 to a family from Kerala, she went to school at Carmel Convent School and studied at KJ Somaiya College in the city. Her debut came in Dileesh Pothan's Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017), and a lead role in Eeda followed. Two films, Madhupal's Oru Kuprasidha Payyan and Sanal Kumar Sasidharan's Chola, won her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, and Chola was screened at several international festivals. She has also received three Filmfare Awards. The year 2021 brought The Great Indian Kitchen, which was well received, along with lead roles in Nayattu and Malik. Oru Thekkan Thallu Case and Innale Vare came later in Malayalam, and Chithha (2023) was her first Tamil release.
