Vishnu Unnikrishnan

Acting came first for Vishnu Unnikrishnan, and writing later. Born on 11 March 1987 in Ernakulam, he began his screen career in 2003 with Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, directed by Sibi Malayil, and over the following decade took parts in a long list of Malayalam films before he branched into screenwriting. His screenwriting debut came in 2015 with Amar Akbar Anthony, co-written with Bibin George for director Nadirshah. The same team followed it with Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan (2016), which Vishnu co-wrote and in which he played the lead. A major role in Street Lights came after, then Shikkari Shambhu. He is in Disco, a mass action film directed by Ullas Chemban and written by Chemban Vinod Jose, the director's brother, with Antony Varghese, Dev Mohan and Arjun Ashokan also in the cast. Disco is announced for release on 6 November 2026, and Chemban Vinod himself sings one of its songs, Ithinno Aadame.
