VTV Ganesh

The VTV in VTV Ganesh's screen name comes from Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010). He played a cinematographer in that film, which starred Silambarasan and Trisha Krishnan, and the critical response to the part led him to adopt its initials. Born Neelakandan Janardhanan in Viluppuram on 21 December 1961, the actor and producer works in Tamil and Telugu films. He debuted in Singampuli's Tamil film Red (2002) and took small parts in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007) and Vaaranam Aayiram (2008). A husky voice and dry comic delivery became his trademark. After that turning point, he produced and acted in the anthology Vaanam (2011), played the heroine's father in Osthe (2011) and Silambarasan's uncle in Podaa Podi (2012), and was among the leads of Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham (2013). He acted in, wrote and produced the comedy Inga Enna Solluthu in 2014. Later came Kappal, Vaalu, Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva and Kalakalappu 2, the Vijay films Beast (2022), Varisu (2023) and The Greatest of All Time (2024), and the role of Dr. S. Dhandapani in Jailer (2023). He also appears in Puri Jagannadh's SlumDog – 33 Temple Road, led by Vijay Sethupathi, which has completed filming.
