Aadu 3 (2026)

Aadu 3 is a Malayalam fantasy comedy directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and the third film in the Aadu series, following Aadu 2 (2017). The story moves across three timelines. In a dystopian 2370 CE, an outfit called The Organization rules using Star Dust, a substance that can rewrite time. In 1790 CE, the impoverished Maharaja Padmanabhan Thampuran (Jayasurya) reigns with his commander-in-chief Koma Kurup (Saiju Kurup) and wife Maharani Rohini (Srinda), while Vinayakan plays Sultan Azam Khan, a commander under Tipu Sultan. In 2025, Shaji Pappan's gang receives a haul of counterfeit cash. When Saathan Xavier plans to demolish a bridge to get at hidden Star Dust, a rupture in time pulls characters from one era into another, setting off a slapstick treasure hunt. Indrans plays Baba in the future strand and Sunny Wayne plays East India Company general Walter Joseph. Vijay Babu produces under Friday Film House and Kavya Film Company, and also plays the architect Vareed Mappila. Planned as the first of two parts and shot in Idukki district, the film released in theatres in March 2026 and streams on ZEE5 from May 2026.
