Aamir Khan is getting married for the third time. Sources confirmed to NDTV that the actor will wed Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony on July 5. The wedding will be intimate — consistent with how Aamir has handled the relationship from the beginning, keeping it away from the media for 18 months before making it public at his 60th birthday press conference last year.
Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru, where she spent most of her life. She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in the city. According to her LinkedIn profile, Gauri studied at Blue Mountain School and completed a fashion styling and photography course at the University of the Arts London in 2004. She currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai and works with Aamir Khan’s production house. She is also a mother to a seven-year-old child, according to reports.

How Aamir Kept It Under Wraps
The relationship stayed completely out of the media’s line of sight for a year and a half — a considerable achievement for one of Bollywood’s most closely watched stars. Aamir’s explanation at the birthday press conference was characteristically self-satisfied: “Dekha kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko” — see, I didn’t let you get wind of any of this.
His method was simple. Gauri was based in Bengaluru, and he would fly there to meet her. “The media scrutiny is less there,” he said. “So we stayed under the radar.” When he finally introduced her publicly, the relationship had been going on long enough that the introduction felt like a confirmation rather than a revelation.
In a recent interview with Navbharat Times, Aamir spoke about what Gauri means to him with unusual openness. “I am very lucky that I met Gauri. She is great; I feel at peace with her. I feel complete today — mujhe lagta hai ab main jaake mukammal hua hoon.” He acknowledged that his previous marriages to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao were deep relationships that simply did not work out, without apportioning blame or offering more detail than that.
Aamir’s Previous Marriages
Aamir Khan’s personal history is one of the most discussed in Bollywood. He married childhood sweetheart Reena Dutta in a secret ceremony in 1986. They divorced in 2002 after 16 years, having had two children together — son Junaid, who has now entered the film industry, and daughter Ira, who is an advocate for mental health awareness.

He married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two had met on the sets of Lagaan in 2001, where she was an assistant director. They divorced in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son Azad, born through surrogacy. Their post-divorce public relationship — collaborative, warm, professionally intertwined — has been widely noted as a model for how separations can be handled with dignity.
Gauri Spratt is his third partner. The July 5 ceremony will be private, which is in keeping with everything about how this relationship has been conducted — away from cameras, on his own terms, and on a timeline that Aamir decided rather than the media.
His Work Front
Aamir Khan has not had a theatrical release since Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022, which underperformed significantly at the box office. He has been selective about his next project, with no official announcement made at press time about his next film. The personal chapter, at least, is closing with a ceremony in July.
