The stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule was a tragic event that shook the film industry. In its aftermath, Allu Arjun has stepped forward to provide long-term financial and medical support for Sri Tej, a young fan who suffered serious injuries during the incident.
Rather than a one-time payment, the actor and his family have taken on responsibility for the child’s future, and reportedly kept in close touch with the family from the early days of the tragedy.
Long-term support
Allu Arjun has placed a fixed deposit of ₹2 crore in Sri Tej’s name, which is expected to generate monthly interest of around ₹1.5 lakh to provide the family a steady income. On top of that, he is personally covering the child’s ongoing medical treatment — said to cost close to ₹3 lakh a month — and has committed to continuing it until Sri Tej makes a full recovery.
The family stays involved
The support has gone beyond money. Allu Aravind and Sneha Reddy visited the hospital to check on Sri Tej and reassured the family of the household’s continued help. As the recovery continues, the family remains in regular contact with the actor’s team. The gesture drew wide appreciation as an example of an actor taking personal responsibility following such an incident.
