Jis Joy
Malayalam audiences heard Jis Joy before they saw his name on a poster. He came into the industry through dubbing, voicing Allu Arjun in the Malayalam versions of the Telugu star's films, and he has also dubbed for Prithviraj's dubbed releases. Alongside that, he directed and wrote advertisements. Today the filmmaker also works as a writer, actor and lyricist. His first feature as director was Bicycle Thieves (2013); the second, Sunday Holiday, reached screens only four years later. Asif Ali has been in every film he has made. Jis directed Thalavan (2024), and the pair have since completed Kottayam Belt, a family thriller that is their sixth film together.
