Drishyam 3 Kerala Pre-Sales: Georgekutty Smashes 1.25 Crore Mark in Near Record Time

· 1 min read · No comments

Advance bookings for Drishyam 3 in Kerala have got off to a strong start. According to real-time data, pre-sales crossed the ₹1.25 crore mark in 449 minutes — about 7 hours and 29 minutes — making the Jeethu Joseph film the third-fastest Malayalam release to reach that figure.

What makes it notable is the show count. While Empuraan and Patriot hold the top two spots, both opened with more than 1,000 shows during their tracking period, whereas Drishyam 3 reached the same total with around 850 — pointing to higher occupancy and strong demand for the franchise’s concluding chapter.

Theatres add extra shows

With families and longtime fans booking early, theatres in hubs like Kochi, Trivandrum and Kozhikode have already added late-night and early-morning fan shows to meet demand.

The numbers have run ahead of initial projections, and trade watchers now expect the film to challenge existing opening-day records for Malayalam cinema. The May 21 worldwide release — which coincides with Mohanlal’s birthday — along with a U/A 13+ certificate and the return of the original cast, gives it a strong platform for a big opening.
