There are reports that Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Prashanth Neel — known for KGF and Salaar — may be teaming up for an action film. The pairing has generated plenty of fan interest, combining Hrithik’s screen presence with Neel’s large-scale, gritty style. There is no official confirmation yet, and Neel is currently tied up with other big projects, so any such film would be some way off.
Dragon: the Jr. NTR project
Dragon, the Jr. NTR film directed by Neel, has seen its timeline shift. Planned as a two-part project, it was originally expected to launch around June 2026 but has now been pushed to June 11, 2027. The team recently moved to Jordan to shoot action sequences, and a first glimpse was expected on May 20. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and aimed at a global release. Given how many films Neel is juggling, the wait has stretched longer than fans had hoped.
Hrithik to direct Krrish 4
Separately, Hrithik is set to both direct and star in Krrish 4, his first time directing the superhero franchise. His father, Rakesh Roshan, has handed the series over to him for this chapter. Production is expected to begin in early 2026, with Yash Raj Films co-producing. Hrithik has reportedly spent years developing his vision for the character, and the project lets him shape the direction of one of India’s most successful superhero franchises himself.
