Khushbu Sundar has made her position in the Jayam Ravi and Aarthi separation dispute unmistakably clear. The actress and politician posted a photograph on Instagram showing herself with Aarthi, Aarthi’s mother and producer Sujatha Vijayakumar, Aarthi and Ravi’s children Araav and Ayan, and Khushbu’s own daughters Avantika and Anandita — captioned simply with the hashtag “MyFamily.”
The post follows an earlier comment Khushbu left on Aarthi’s Instagram, where Aarthi had written about her concerns for her children’s safety and dignity. Khushbu’s response: “Never mess with a mother. You are a lioness with your cubs. My darling, may you get more strength.”
The timing matters. At a recent Chennai press conference, Ravi Mohan made a remark about an actress he called an “idli actress,” widely interpreted in Tamil film circles as a reference to Khushbu. The Instagram post arrived shortly after that press conference, and the subtext is not subtle.

Ravi Mohan held the press conference to speak about his personal situation, stating he would not act in films until the divorce is resolved. He alleged he was being denied access to his children and claimed he was being subjected to harassment. Ravi Mohan and Aarthi married in 2009 and announced their separation in 2024. A subsequent relationship between Ravi and singer Kenisha Francis attracted wide attention. That relationship has since ended — and it was in the aftermath of that breakup that Ravi held his emotional press conference.
Khushbu’s photograph has drawn pushback from Ravi’s fans, who have accused her of deliberately provoking. The dispute, already public and bitter, now has another voice firmly in Aarthi’s corner.
