Mumbai Police (2013)

Mumbai Police is a Malayalam thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews and set in Kochi. ACP Antony Moses (Prithviraj Sukumaran), known as Rascal Moses, is left with partial memory loss after an accident. Shortly before it, he had told his brother-in-law, Commissioner Farhan Aman (Rahman), that he had solved the murder of their friend ACP Aaryan John Jacob (Jayasurya), who was killed at a gallantry awards ceremony on the police parade ground, but he had not named the killer. Despite Antony's condition, Farhan puts him back on the case, and he has to work through an investigation he had already closed once. Aparna Nair plays ASP Rakhee Menon, with Kunchan, Riyaz Khan, Harish Uthaman and Shwetha Menon in supporting roles. The film was made under Nisad Haneefa Productions, with music by Gopi Sundar. It was shot over 56 days between January and March 2013 and released in theatres in May 2013. It was later remade in Telugu as Hunt and in Hindi as Deva, which Andrrews also directed.
