Kalidas Jayaram's Many Many Happy Returns: what we know so far

Many Many Happy Returns, the new film from June director Ahammed Khabeer with Kalidas Jayaram in the lead, released its first single, Parakkum Thennale, on Saregama Malayalam's YouTube channel on October 24, 2026. The film does not have a release date yet. Here is what has been confirmed so far.

Saregama's description of the song lists Kalidas, debutant Lakshmi Jyothish and Lal as the leads, with music by Govind Vasantha.

Parakkum Thennale: song credits

Crishna and Zeba Tommy sing the track, and Vinayak Sasikumar wrote the lyrics. Anusha Viswanathan choreographed the song according to Asianet News and Mathrubhumi. Suhail Koya is the other lyricist on the album.

Many Many Happy Returns: cast and story so far

Lakshmi Jyothish makes her debut as the female lead, while Lal plays the father of Kalidas's character, as reported by Filmfare. Boban Alummoodan, Sanju Sanichen, Sosamma Jacob and Renjit Shekar are also in the cast.

The teaser came out on September 5, 2026. Filming wrapped in June, and the makers have not yet announced a date.

Ahammed Khabeer's track record

Khabeer made his debut with June in 2019 and followed it with Madhuram in 2021. In 2023 he directed Kerala Crime Files, a web series on Disney+ Hotstar. Many Many Happy Returns is his third feature, and he co-wrote the screenplay with Jobin John Varghese.

He is also a producer this time. Khabeer and Hassan Rasheed produce the film under the Monkey Business banner. Jithin Stanislaus handles the cinematography, Mahesh Bhuvanend is the editor and Sharath Kumar KV is the production designer.

Govind Vasantha in Malayalam

The press note credited Govind with 96, Solo and Meiyazhagan, but 96 and Meiyazhagan are Tamil films. His Malayalam list is shorter. It covers background music for Asuravithu (2012), North 24 Kaatham (2013), the bilingual Solo (2017), a song and score arrangement on Khabeer's Madhuram (2021), Maharani (2023), Bromance and Sarkeet (2025), and Chinna Chinna Aasai (2026).

Madhuram is the link here. Many Many Happy Returns is the second Khabeer film with Govind's music, and the first with Govind credited as the film's composer. June's music was by Ifthi.

Who is releasing it in Kerala

Bhavana Studios has taken the Kerala distribution rights, as we reported in our story on the deal. The banner is also producing Fahadh Faasil's Karate Chandran.
