Bethlehem Kudumba Unit (2026)
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is a Malayalam romantic comedy directed by Girish A. D., who wrote it with Kiran Josey. Justin Davis (Nivin Pauly) is a bachelor in his thirties from the Christian neighbourhood of Karukutty who runs a catering business, fixes laptops, deals in real estate and funds the short films of his brother Joel (Sangeeth Prathap). When money troubles bring the family of college student Ashley Thankachan (Mamitha Baiju) from Mundakkayam to the house next door, she is wary of Justin at first and is then drawn to him. The romance carries an age gap and an interfaith element, set within a close church community and told with songs. Suresh Krishna plays Baiju and Vinay Forrt plays Alex. Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran produce the film under Bhavana Studios, Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Working Class Hero. Principal photography began in Kochi in January 2026, with locations in Karukutty, Chalakudy, Goa and Kochi. The film released in theatres in August 2026 and streams on JioHotstar from 2 October 2026 in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
