From Premalu to Dude to Bethlehem Kudumba Unit
For Malayali viewers, Mamitha is best known as Reenu in Premalu (2024). Dude took her to a lead role in Tamil, and its soundtrack has since crossed 500 million streams on Spotify, as we reported in our Dude album story.
Back in Malayalam, she played Ashley opposite Nivin Pauly in Girish AD's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, an Onam release this year. JioHotstar Malayalam posted on October 17 that the film is now streaming on its platform.

How Dude did a year ago
Dude, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, released in theatres on October 17, 2025, during the Diwali week. Pradeep plays Agan, and the film was his third outing as a lead after Love Today and Dragon.
In the film, Mamitha plays Kural, Agan's childhood friend and cousin. R Sarathkumar, Rohini and Hridhu Haroon are also in the cast, and Sai Abhyankkar's soundtrack includes the song Oorum Blood.
Netflix began streaming Dude on November 14, 2025, in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Netflix announced the date with the line "One DUDE, one thousand problems, no solutions." The Malayalam audio option means Kerala viewers can watch it at home in their own language.
