Bhagyashri Borse has wrapped another stint on Operation Ganga, the Mohanlal film directed by Vishnu Mohan. On Sunday, October 25, she shared an Instagram Story with a photo of herself and the director, as reported by Cinema Express. "Had so much fun shooting for Operation Ganga. Vishnu Mohan sir, your kindness is your super power!!! I really admire you as a director," she wrote, according to the report, which described it as the wrap of the first schedule.
That is her second schedule wrap this month, not the end of the film. On October 6, according to reports, a Story from her read "Schedule wrap! With my cutest boys!" and "See you in a bit Georgia." The shoot is reported to be planned at about 180 days across Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Delhi, Dehradun and Kochi, so there is a long way to go.
Earlier in October, in a feed post with a photo of Mohanlal, she wrote that being his co-actor "feels like a blessing", according to reports.

What is confirmed
Mohanlal's own posts settle the basics. His September 5 title post tagged Vishnu Mohan, Gokulam Gopalan and Sree Gokulam Movies, along with Arjun Rampal, Bhagyashri Borse, R Parthiban and Adil Hussain. On October 20 he wrote that the film is "directed by Vishnu Mohan and produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies", and announced that Uganda's dance group Ghetto Kids had joined the cast, as we reported in our Ghetto Kids story.
Reports describe it as Mohanlal's 367th film, L367. The reported crew includes cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, editor Shameer Muhammed (the spelling on the first-look poster), action choreographer Sea Young Oh, production designer Rajeevan and sound designer Bishwadeep Chatterjee. Shashwat Sachdev, the composer, is tagged in Mohanlal's post.
Vishnu Mohan recently told Cinema Express that a film this ambitious needed extra time to put together a solid crew, since it could not be made like a standard Malayalam release.
The real Operation Ganga
The title borrows the name of India's 2022 evacuation from Ukraine. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the operation was announced on February 26, 2022, and brought home 18,282 Indian nationals on 90 flights, 76 commercial and 14 by the Indian Air Force. Evacuees were moved out through Romania, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia at the government's cost.
The Press Information Bureau says the evacuation process began on February 22, and the operation ran until March 11. Four Union ministers, Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and Gen (Retd) V K Singh, were sent to Ukraine's neighbouring countries to coordinate. The official figures are in the MEA's Rajya Sabha reply and PIB's release.
The debutants
Operation Ganga is reported to be the Malayalam debut for both Borse and Arjun Rampal. Borse's earlier films include Kaantha, her Tamil debut, and Lenin, according to reports.
What's next
No release date has been announced. With Borse's portions wrapped for now and the shoot reportedly planned across six locations, the next updates are likely to come from the remaining schedules.
