Scene, Suriya's Diwali Tamil release, reaches Kerala theatres on November 6 through a largely Malayali team. Director Jithu Madhavan, composer Sushin Shyam, and actors Naslen, Nazriya Nazim and Lal give the film a clear Mollywood spine, and Sree Gokulam Movies is bringing it to the state with Dream Big Films as distribution partner.

The film is rated U/A and releases worldwide on November 6. It is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under 2D Entertainment and Zhagaram Studios.

The Malayali team

Jithu Madhavan: Director. After Romancham (2023) and Aavesham (2024), this is his first Tamil film.

Sushin Shyam: Music. Reunites with Jithu after Romancham and Aavesham. Credits also include Kumbalangi Nights, Bheeshma Parvam and Manjummel Boys. Scene is his first Tamil score, Cinema Express reported.

Naslen: Plays Eeswaran. Premalu made him a pan-South name, and Scene is his Tamil debut.

Nazriya Nazim: Female lead Maya. Returns to Tamil cinema after a 12-year gap, Cinema Express reported. Her Malayalam hits include Bangalore Days and Ohm Shanthi Oshaana.

Lal: Supporting cast. Half of the Siddique-Lal duo that directed In Harihar Nagar (1990), and a familiar face in Malayalam drama since.

Vineeth Augustian: Cinematography, as listed by Kerala TV.

Ajmal Sabu: Editor, as listed by Kerala TV.

Vishnu Govind: Audiography, as listed by Kerala TV.

Suriya as DSP Inbaraj

Suriya plays DSP Inbaraj, also spelled Imbaraj in some listings. The official trailer puts him in both action and comedy beats, and the makers have framed the film as a stylish action-comedy entertainer. Nazriya plays Maya opposite him, and Naslen's Eeswaran character was introduced in a separate teaser from Sony Music South.

Kerala release

For Kerala audiences, the pull is obvious. Jithu's last two films were big hits in the state, Sushin's songs travel well beyond Malayalam, and Naslen arrives with the goodwill of Premalu. Pairing that team with Suriya, who already has a strong Kerala following, makes Scene one of the more watched non-Malayalam releases of the Diwali window here.

Sree Gokulam Movies, headed by Gokulam Gopalan, handles the Kerala theatrical release, with Dream Big Films as the distribution partner, Cinema Express reported. Advance bookings for Kerala opened on November 3, the outlet added. Naslen's character teaser, Revealing Eeswaran, came out on Sony Music South and gives the clearest look yet at his role in the film.
