Suresh Gopi spent his Monday at the home of Madhu, the veteran actor he calls the patriarch of Malayalam cinema. He and his wife Radhika visited on October 12 to wish him on his birthday, and Suresh Gopi shared photos from the visit on Instagram.
Madhu was born on September 23, 1933. The visit marked his birthday by the Malayalam calendar, which fell on Monday this year, reports said.

In the post, Suresh Gopi said it felt like a blessing to be by Madhu's side with Radhika on the day and to spend some time in his affectionate company. The two shared a birthday sadya, and the conversation turned to old memories. "The joy it gave us is beyond words," he wrote in Malayalam.
The youngest guest stole some of the attention. Suresh Gopi wrote that the time spent with little Thrilok, Madhu's great-grandson, made the visit twice as sweet. His laughter and mischief, Suresh Gopi added, turned the whole house into a festival ground.
He ended the note with a prayer for Madhu's health and long life, calling him a guide to Malayalam cinema and a master of the craft of acting.
