Mathew Thomas
An audition held at his school got Mathew Thomas his first screen role, in Kumbalangi Nights (2019), a film that did well with critics and audiences alike. Born on 16 October 2002 in Thiruvankulam, he acts mostly in Malayalam films and has worked in Tamil cinema too. Later in 2019 he was the lead of the teen romance Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, playing the schoolboy Jaison. The crime thriller Anjaam Pathiraa (2020) cast him as the younger Benjamin Louis. He had a small part in Operation Java, and his supporting role in the Mammootty film One (2021) drew praise. Jo and Jo is among his films as well. Leo (2023) brought him into Tamil cinema as Siddharth, or Siddhu, the son of Vijay's character, and Premalu (2024) followed. This year he shared the lead in Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar (2026), which streamed on Netflix and then had a Tamil theatrical release. He also headlines Udumbanchola Vision, now in theatres, as a man who runs a small local cable channel and takes on large media players.
