Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar is going back to theatres, this time in Tamil. The Tamil version of Shahad's police thriller, with Parvathy Thiruvothu in her first police role, opens in cinemas on October 23, and the makers have released an announcement poster for the Tamil release.
The Malayalam film opened on September 11 and has been streaming on Netflix since October 9, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. A theatrical run in a new language after the streaming release is an unusual order for a Malayalam film.

Parvathy plays a woman who joins the police as a constable on compassionate grounds. The film follows what happens to her once she is on station duty.
The cast includes Parthiban, a familiar face for Tamil audiences, along with Vijayaraghavan, Mathew Thomas, Vinay Forrt and Sidharth Bharathan. Mujeeb Majeed composed the music, and the theme song, sung by Vedan, became popular with audiences in Kerala.
Two films for Mathew Thomas on one day
October 23 is a crowded day. Udumbanchola Vision, led by Mathew Thomas, and Sreenath Bhasi's Orijinal both open in Kerala that day. With the Tamil release of Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar, Mathew will have two films in cinemas on the same day, in two languages.
