Sajin Gopu

The turn came in 2021, when Sajin Gopu played a jeep driver in Lijo Jose Pellissery's Churuli and then Saji Vypin in Jan.E.Man, a performance that drew praise. Until then the Malayalam actor from Aluva, born in 1992 to Gopalakrishnan and Pramila, had only small parts: a minor role in Mumbai Taxi (2015), his first screen appearance, and another in Thilothama. He went to the SNDP school and Aluva Boys Higher Secondary School, and later attended the De Paul Institute of Science & Technology in Angamaly. Romancham (2023), a horror comedy with him among its leads, made his character Niroop a favourite with audiences. Then came Ambaan, the hulking but soft-hearted right-hand man of Fahadh's character Ranga in Jithu Madhavan's Aavesham (2024). Reviews were strong, and The New Indian Express noted how well he matched Fahadh's energy on screen. He leads Dhoomakethu (2026), a time-loop comedy in which he plays Kuttan. After its run in theatres, the film began streaming on Netflix on 23 October 2026 in five languages.
