Malayalam OTT releases this week: Dhoomakethu, Kandan and more

This week's Malayalam OTT releases are spread across three platforms. Netflix has Dhoomakethu, plus the Malayalam dubs of Dorothy and The Paradise, from October 22 and 23. ManoramaMAX adds Kandan and Aaru Anungal, and Simply South has brought Ottamaram to viewers outside India. Here is what is streaming, where, and who is in it.

Dhoomakethu

Dhoomakethu arrives on Netflix on October 23, and is reported to be streaming in five languages: Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Sudhi Maddison directs. Sajin Gopu and Nikhila Vimal play the leads, with Shine Tom Chacko, Sidharth Bharathan, Ganapathi S. Poduval and Manju Pillai in support. Our Dhoomakethu OTT story has more.

Dorothy

Dorothy, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is a Tamil film, and Malayalam is one of its dub tracks on Netflix from October 23, according to reports. Keerthy Suresh is not the sole lead here. Sananth and Rishikanth play the leads, while Keerthy plays the title role.

The Paradise

The Paradise, with Nani, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu, is a Telugu original. Netflix lists Malayalam among its audio options, and the film began streaming on October 22, according to reports. Wayfarer Films is reported to have distributed it in Kerala.

Kandan

Kandan, written, directed and edited by Jibin Antony, is reported to be streaming on ManoramaMAX from October 24. It first released in theatres on July 31, 2026. The reported cast includes Jyothis Jose and Ananthapadmanabhan.

Aaru Anungal

Aaru Anungal is reported to be on ManoramaMAX from October 23. The poster spelling is reported as Aaru Aanugal. Sambraj directs from a script by Yeskumar, and the cast is reported to include Shivamurali Balasubramanyan, Deepa and Jini Elakkatt.

Ottamaram

Ottamaram is new only for viewers outside India. Simply South announced it as out now on October 23, for its worldwide audience excluding India. In India, the film has been streaming on ManoramaMAX since August 28, according to reports. Benoy Veloor wrote and directed it.

Coming next week

Two titles land on October 30. Akka, the Hindi Netflix series with Keerthy Suresh, Radhika Apte and Tanvi Azmi, premieres that day. Netflix has not been confirmed to carry Malayalam audio for it, so check the language options on the day.

Immortal, directed by Mariyappan Chinna, streams on Sony LIV from October 30, with GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar. Malayalam is reported to be among its languages, along with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
