A groom stuck in his wedding day
Sajin Gopu plays Kuttan, a groom who keeps reliving his wedding day while a comet passes over Kerala for the first time in 3,000 years. Nikhila Vimal plays Sharmila, the bride. Shine Tom Chacko, Sidharth Bharathan and Ganapathi S Poduval also star.
For Sajin, Dhoomakethu is a lead role about two and a half years after he played Amban in Aavesham, the role that made his name.
Two takes on time, one day
October 23 also brings Orijinal, Sreenath Bhasi's time-travel thriller, to theatres. So Malayalam cinema gets a time-loop comedy at home and a time-travel thriller on the big screen on the same day.
The five-language release also takes a small Malayalam comedy across the South and to Hindi viewers.
