Avaraachan and Sons (2026)

Avaraachan and Sons is a Malayalam family comedy-drama directed by Thamby, who co-wrote it with Joseph Vijeesh. Biju Menon plays Avaraachan, an eccentric, good-for-nothing father whose vices are a constant source of embarrassment for his grown-up children, played by Sreenath Bhasi, Ganapathi S Poduval and Akhila Bhargavan. The story tracks the strain between Avaraachan and his family, mixing humour and emotion with some action. Pauly Valsan plays Eliyamma, and the cast also includes Vinay Forrt, Grace Antony, Johny Antony, Sabumon Abdusamad and Kottayam Nazeer. The film is Thamby's first feature as director. Listin Stephen produces it under Magic Frames, with music by Sanal Dev, cinematography by Sajith Purushan and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese. Avaraachan and Sons opened in theatres in October 2026.
