Mohanlal and Mukesh, one of Malayalam cinema's best-loved comedy pairs, are reportedly back together in L368, Anoop Sathyan's new film, which had its pooja in Kochi on October 30. Mohanlal shared the ceremony on X, and Aashirvad Cinemas streamed it live on YouTube.

The official title card credits Anoop Sathyan as writer and director and Binu George Alexander as producer, with Aashirvad Cinemas and Antony Perumbavoor presenting. The film also stars Mukesh and Sangeeth Prathap, according to Mathrubhumi, which adds that the rest of the cast has not been announced.
A comedy pair built in the 1980s
Mohanlal and Mukesh have shared the screen for over four decades, and their best-known comedies came with Priyadarshan. The pair became popular after Boeing Boeing (1985), and the run of hits that followed included Vandanam (1989) and Kakkakuyil (2001).

What happened at the pooja
Sathyan Anthikad and Suchitra Mohanlal attended, and Tovino Thomas and Antony Varghese were among the guests, Manorama Online reported. The pooja has been held, and the shoot is reported to begin in early November, as per Reporter Live.
Speaking at the event, Mohanlal linked the film to his long run with Anoop's father, as Mathrubhumi reported. In our translation, he said, "I am someone who has acted in Sathyan Anthikad's films, from the very first he directed to the latest. That is a long journey. As a continuation of it, I now get to make a film with his son too."
He added that it is the director and the team who should talk about the film.
Anoop Sathyan's return
L368 is Anoop's first film as director in six years, after his 2020 debut Varane Avashyamund, Mathrubhumi reported. Anoop earlier told Manorama Online that it will be Mohanlal's third film in sync sound.
