Kappi Squad now streaming on JioHotstar: Rinosh George's 100-episode comedy

JioHotstar's new Malayalam comedy-drama Kappi Squad is now streaming, and the show is built to run for a while. The Hotstar Specials series premiered on October 15 and adds four new episodes every Thursday, JioHotstar Malayalam confirmed on X.

A long-running format

Kappi Squad runs to 100 episodes. At four a week, the full series would take 25 weeks to roll out.

The series follows a group of young friends and the comedy and chaos of their everyday lives. Dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi were also announced, it was reported when the date was announced.

The cast

Singer Rinosh George, known to Malayali audiences from Bigg Boss Malayalam, leads the cast in his OTT debut. Anagha Ajith, Diya Deepan, content creators Joel Joseph and Abhirami Dayanandan, and filmmaker Rahul Riji Nair are part of the ensemble.

Srikanth Mohan, who previously made SonyLIV's Saiju Kurup series Jai Mahendran, created the show. Belraj Kalarickal directs, and Adithya Thejas and Subin George wrote the series. Rahul Riji Nair, the director of Ottamuri Velicham and Kalla Nottam, produces through First Print Studios.

Director Belraj Kalarickal died on October 17 at the age of 28, just two days after Kappi Squad premiered, and JioHotstar Malayalam paid tribute to him on X.
