Days after Suriya gifted a Mahindra BE6 to the cinematographer of his blockbuster Karuppu, the actor has extended the same gesture of gratitude to music director Sai Abhyankkar. The composer shared a picture on social media standing next to his new Mahindra BE6, captioning it simply: “Love you dear Suriya sir.”
Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, has emerged as a massive box office success, grossing over ₹300 crore worldwide, according to an official announcement from producers SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu of Dream Warrior Pictures. While the film has faced some criticism for its writing, Sai Abhyankkar’s music and background score have been universally praised, with tracks like ‘Verappa’ and ‘God Mode’ becoming immensely popular and contributing significantly to the film’s theatrical run.
Suriya’s appreciation
Suriya is known for his generosity within the industry. Recently, he and Jyotika sent personalised gift cards to the cast and crew of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, and extended a similar gesture to Nazriya Nazim before she joined the set of their upcoming film with Aavesham filmmaker Jithu Madhavan.
Karuppu features an ensemble cast including Suriya, Trisha, Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, Natty, Sshivada, Swaswika and Supreeth Reddy.
