Adhila Nasarin and Fathima Noora — the first lesbian couple to appear on a Malayalam reality show, and now well-known social media personalities — have marked a personal milestone, sharing their excitement with followers after buying their first car.
The couple bought a Kia Seltos and posted pictures with the SUV alongside an emotional note about their journey.
More than a car
For Adhila and Noora, the purchase clearly meant more than the vehicle itself. “The key we dreamed of is finally in our hands,” they wrote. “Our first car. Our dream. There were days filled with struggles, pressures, and tears that no one saw. But through every difficult phase, we believed in ourselves and moved forward together.” They added that it was a reminder of how patience and hard work can change a life: “We are proud of how far we have come… Here’s to new roads, late-night drives, and the life we once only imagined.”
A long road
Their story first drew national attention in 2022. Adhila, from Aluva, and Noora, from Thamarassery, met while studying in the 12th grade in Saudi Arabia. After facing strong opposition from their families, they pursued a legal battle that ended in a landmark Kerala High Court ruling affirming their right to live together. Since then they have become a source of encouragement for many followers, and the new car was another step on a journey they have been open about.
