Hareesh Kanaran and NM Badusha End Dispute and Reunite

The public fallout between actor Hareesh Kanaran and producer NM Badusha has come to a peaceful end. For months the dispute was a talking point online, with fans regularly leaving “but cash” comments on the producer’s posts. The two have now shared photos and videos together to confirm they have settled their differences.

The reconciliation happened in Kochi, at the wedding of director Leo Thaddeus’s son. In a Facebook post, Badusha said Hareesh had reached out to suggest they travel to the event together; the two spent time at Badusha’s office beforehand, attended the wedding, and afterwards Hareesh visited Badusha’s home to check on his ailing mother — a sign of a full return to their friendship.

The financial dispute

At the heart of the matter were conflicting claims over money. Hareesh had alleged that Badusha borrowed ₹20 lakh and failed to return it, and that his own work opportunities were being affected after he asked for it back. Badusha, for his part, said he had borrowed ₹14 lakh and already repaid half. In his update, Badusha said they had reached a mutual understanding: “We cleared all misunderstandings and arrived at a consensus on the financial dealings.”

He also thanked those who supported them — and even those who criticised him, saying the attention kept him in the conversation during a hard time. “We are starting our journey together again, hoping for your support for our good deeds and constructive criticism for our mistakes,” he added. Both are now looking to collaborate again in the future.
