Aashirvad Cinemas' official theatrical trailer lists August 7, 2026 as the worldwide release date. JioHotstar's own trailer, posted on September 16, called the film a streaming exclusive from September 18 and listed the five language versions.
Asianet's November 7 promo says Thudakkam is now streaming on JioHotstar. Its Sunday telecast adds a scheduled television window; current catalogue availability and playback were not independently verified for this report.
What Thudakkam is about
JioStar's official announcement of the streaming release sums up the story. Set in a hill village, the film follows Meenu, a young woman who lives happily with her father until an unexpected crisis turns her world upside down. She is forced to face it with courage, and her fight for survival is the heart of the film. The same note says Mohanlal makes a special appearance.
Cast and crew of Thudakkam
Aashirvad Cinemas produced Thudakkam, with Antony Perumbavoor as producer. Jude Anthany Joseph directed it and co-wrote the script with Linish Nellikkal and Akhil Krishna, according to the credits on the official trailer.
Vismaya Mohanlal and Aashish Joe Antony lead the cast. Mohanlal, Sai Kumar, Bobby Kurian, Manoj K Jayan, Ganesh Kumar, Kottayam Ramesh, Jaya Kurup and Jaffar Idukki are also credited on the trailer. Jakes Bejoy composed the music, Chaman Chakko edited the film, and Akhil George and Jomon T John handled the camera.
