Jailer 2, the Rajinikanth action sequel directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will stream on Prime Video from November 12. Prime Video India announced on November 5 that Jailer 2 streams from November 12 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada (#Jailer2OnPrime), four weeks after the film opened in theatres on October 15.
When and where to watch Jailer 2
The streamer's post carried the line "TIGER MUTHUVEL PANDIAN is back. RELOADED" with the hashtag Jailer2OnPrime and the date November 12. The attached official poster lists Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, and carries a U/A 16+ mark.

The post tags Mohanlal and Suraj Venjaramoodu among the cast, along with Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Anirudh Ravichander and Sun Pictures. That Malayalam pairing is the clear Kerala hook for this OTT date. Sun Pictures had earlier put out a Jailer 2 promo naming Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep.
Prime Video India followed up the same morning with a second post that pinned the November 12 date again. Neither post named a time of day or a Prime Video tier, so we are treating November 12 as the calendar date only. From the October 15 theatrical opening to November 12 is a four-week gap.
What Jailer 2 is about
Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the retired jailer. In the same Variety interview, Nelson said a crime syndicate with political clout and overseas reach puts the family in danger and pulls him back from retirement. Former foes return and new alliances form.
He also said the response to the first Jailer was extraordinary, and that with the sequel the team wanted to raise the story, action, scale and emotional stakes. The team is delighted to bring Jailer 2 to Prime Video, where it will join the first Jailer, Nelson told Variety. Sun Pictures produced the film under Kalanithi Maran. Anirudh Ravichander scored the music.
For Kerala viewers, Mohanlal and Suraj Venjaramoodu are the names already tied to the film in our earlier coverage of the theatrical run. The November 12 stream keeps the sequel in front of that audience after its October 15 opening. Rajinikanth's character name, Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, is the one Prime Video India used in its announcement.
