December 3 worldwide theatrical date
Mayan Chapter 1 is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 3, 2026 (Magic Moon Productions). The October first-look note on X said, "December 3. The mystery awaits," and an earlier October post said the film was releasing December 3, 2026, worldwide in theatres. Our first look story covered that poster, which showed Jayasurya in police khaki with the Beyond the Shadows tagline.

On November 4, the banner posted that the teaser was due the next day. Universal Music South then uploaded the clip on November 5.
That first look framed Mayan as a mystery thriller with Jayasurya as a police officer. The new teaser keeps the same title and tagline.
Jithin is making Mayan after Kalamkaval. The teaser title card on the upload also points back to that film. Jayasurya's recent slate includes Titans, as covered in our upcoming movies guide.
Publicity on the upload is credited to Yellowtooths and Antony Stephen. The PRO and marketing line names Vaisakh C Vadakkeveed, Jinu Anil Kumar, Vipin Kumar and Vazhoor Jose.
