The trailer of Bachelor Party D'eux is out. It dropped on November 4 at 5 PM IST on the Amal Neerad Productions YouTube channel. Amal Neerad returns to the title he made in 2012, but the film he is bringing back looks very different. Here is what carries over from the original, who the new faces are, and how the campaign has built up to the November 19 worldwide release.

The time had been confirmed a day earlier by the film's music label, Sony Music South, whose post read "Trailer from tomorrow 5pm".

What D'eux means

D'eux is French. Read as "deux", it means two, which marks the film as the second Bachelor Party. Read as "d'eux", it means "of them", a nod to the gang at the centre of the story. The makers have kept the title unexplained, so both readings are in play.

Bachelor Party in 2012 and in 2026

The first Bachelor Party released on June 15, 2012. It was an adaptation of Johnnie To's Hong Kong film Exiled, with Rahman, Kalabhavan Mani, Indrajith, Vinayakan and Asif Ali as old friends caught up in a gang war, Nithya Menen in the lead female role and Prithviraj in an extended cameo. Amal Neerad directed and also shot the film, and Unni R and Santhosh Echikkanam wrote it.

None of those actors are part of the announced cast of D'eux, which is built around a new set of characters. What returns is the team behind the camera: Amal Neerad as director, Unni R on dialogues and Rafeeq Ahamed on lyrics, this time alongside Vinayak Sasikumar.

The new gang

The 2026 film brings together two generations. Kunchacko Boban, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Sharaf U Dheen and Shine Tom Chacko lead one side, while Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar and Hansika Krishnakumar bring the Gen-Z energy. Jyothirmayi, Nadiya Moidu, Rajisha Vijayan and Paris Laxmi complete the cast. Tovino Thomas reportedly appears in a special role, Cinema Express reported. Our D'eux cast guide lists who plays whom.

Appu Prabhakar is the cinematographer, Vivek Harshan edits and Christo Xavier composes the music. The film is produced by Amal Neerad Productions with Anwar Rasheed Entertainments and Fahadh Faasil and Friends.

How the campaign built up

January 11: The film is unveiled, Cinema Express reported.

September 19: First look poster and the November 19 date, without Tovino on it.

October 1: First single, Vaazhve Maayam.

October 11: Tovino's poster, with a sugar glider.

October 17 to 22: Character posters for Naslen, Soubin, Sharaf, Sreenath, Chandu, Shine and Nadiya.

October 28: The ensemble poster, with the men holding guns.

October 30: Second single, Shishiramo.

November 2: Trailer date announced.

November 4: Trailer released at 5 PM IST.

November 19: Worldwide theatrical release.

The trailer date poster put six of the men in one frame, each pointing a gun, which suggests the action of the first film is very much part of the sequel.

For Kunchacko, D'eux is one of several 2026 releases, which we track in our Kunchacko Boban upcoming movies list.
