Roshan Basheer's Band of Brothers teaser: Drishyam's Varun leads

Band of Brothers, a Malayalam crime thriller directed by Bijoy P.I. with Roshan Basheer and Rahul Rajagopal in the lead, has a teaser out on the makers' own YouTube channel, Vanimahal Creations. The teaser was released on October 24, 2026, according to early coverage by Jaihind TV. No release date has been announced.

Roshan is the actor who played Varun Prabhakar in Drishyam (2013). Band of Brothers puts him back in a lead role with the director of his last film.

Band of Brothers teaser: what it shows

The official teaser title names Bijoy P.I. as director and Roshan Basheer and Rahul Rajagopal as the leads. According to Kerala TV, the film is set in Chennaipara, a forest village near Peerumedu, and follows characters named Mathew and Vincent, a hidden cache of weapons and a promise made decades ago.

The first-look poster shows a hooded figure holding a gun, with a Malayalam line that reads "മകനേ, അവർ ചെയ്യുന്നത് എന്താണെന്ന് അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് അവരോട് ക്ഷമിക്കുക" (Son, forgive them, for they know not what they do), as reported by Asianet News. The Bible verse says Father. The poster says Son.

Who is Roshan Basheer

Roshan debuted in Plus Two (2010) and followed it with films like Tourist Home and Red Wine in 2013. That same year he played Varun Prabhakar in Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam with Mohanlal, and he went on to play the same role in the Telugu remake Drushyam (2014) and the Tamil remake Papanasam (2015). His filmography here is as reported by film databases.

Much of his later work has been in Tamil and Telugu. Those films include Bairavaa (2017), Dirty Hari (2020), Malli Pelli (2023) and Rakshana (2024). In Malayalam, he played the lead, Vincent, in Vincent and the Pope (2021).

A Bijoy, Roshan and Vanimahal reunion

Vincent and the Pope was also directed by Bijoy P.I. and produced by Vanimahal Creations. It skipped theatres and went straight to OTT on nine platforms, including Saina and High Hopes, according to Asianet News. Band of Brothers brings the same director, lead actor and banner back together.

Band of Brothers is not Bijoy's first film. Film database MSIDB lists Padmavyuham (2012) and Marupuram (2016) among his earlier films.

Apart from the leads, Bibin Joseph, V.K. Baiju, Varun Thilak, Noby Tharian, Nidhi Rajan, Revathy, Saranya and Vinod Sasidharan are part of the cast, according to the press note carried by Asianet News and Kerala TV. Gopi Sundar does the background score and Sanjeev Krishnan composes the songs, with lyrics by A.R. Nandagopan. Rajkumar Bhaskaran is the cinematographer and Ratnaraj Radhakrishnan the editor.
