Jaffer Idukki

On stage, as a mimicry artist and comedian, Jaffer Idukki built his early reputation; his original name is Jabbar A. M. Cinema came with Kaiyoppu (2007), and he has since worked in around a hundred Malayalam productions. Over those years the purely comic parts have steadily given way to character roles with more dramatic weight. The recent credits show the shift. He played a church priest in Joseph (2018) and appeared in the flood drama 2018 (2023). In 2024 he was Avarachan in Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam and Allappan in Thalavan, and he played SCPO Vijayan in Thudakkam (2026). Two lead roles are on the way. Ajith Poojappura's Sidhu, whose trailer has been released, gives him an unconventional part, and he also features in Bouma, which is listed as coming soon. Put together, these projects describe an actor who began in mimicry and comedy and now regularly works in thrillers and investigative dramas, while still carrying a reputation for comic timing.
