Arya's 40th film as a lead is titled Hello Kadhal, and it releases in theatres on December 4. The actor shared the title teaser on X, and the film will also release in Telugu as Hello Prema.

The film has a strong Malayalam connection. It is directed by Nikhil Muraly, who made the 2023 Malayalam romance Pranaya Vilasam with Arjun Ashokan, Mamitha Baiju and Anaswara Rajan. He reunites with that film's writers, Sunu AV and Jyothish M, and Nikhila Vimal plays one of the female leads, alongside Vaishnavi Chaitanya.
Filmmaker Halitha Shameem is credited with additional screenplay and the Tamil dialogues, reports suggest. GV Prakash Kumar, who scored Arya's Madrasapattinam and Raja Rani, composes the music. Jeeva Sankar is the cinematographer and Binu Nepolean edits.
Arya's post describes the film as a love story that will "make you talk and open up". The Show People and Silver Grain Pictures produce it.
