The teaser of Ruby, a Malayalam thriller written and directed by Sujan Aromal, was launched at PVR Cinemas in Ernakulam's Forum Mall. The makers plan to release the film in theatres in November, reports suggest.
Sudhi Koppa and Aditi Ravi lead the cast, which also includes Shafna, Devananda, Nandanunni and Baby Chakki. Shaju S and Favas produced the film under the Sha Productions banner, and Salam Bappu presents it. Rejin Santo is the cinematographer. Sujan Aromal also handles the story, screenplay, editing, songs and music.
What the team said at the launch
For Sudhi Koppa, the thriller promises audiences something fresh. Aditi Ravi described her role as a demanding one, while Devananda felt the film gives Sudhi Koppa and Aditi Ravi some of the best characters they have played. After a short break, Shafna was glad to return in a strong role.
Sujan Aromal assured the crowd that the team had done its best to make a film audiences would enjoy, and asked them to back it if they liked it.
The teaser was screened at the event. The teaser is not yet available on the makers' official channels, and a firm release date is still to be announced.
