The trailer of Udumbanchola Vision is out. Mathew Thomas leads the film, which releases on October 21, 2026.
Saregama Malayalam posted the trailer on October 9. When we checked at 7.25 pm IST on October 13, it had 1,030,165 views.
What the trailer shows
The film is set in the world of present-day news. A young man takes over a local cable channel.
He soon runs into powerful media houses, crime gangs and corporate bosses. The trailer also shows how news gets shaped behind the headlines.
The title refers to Udumbanchola, a town in Idukki district. Local cable channels are still common in such towns.
Gopi Sundar composed the music. Alan Rodney wrote the script.
Why it matters
Mathew Thomas is best known for teen and young-adult roles. This trailer puts him at the centre of a larger thriller.
The film also arrives two days before Orijinal. Sreenath Bhasi is in both films.
It also opens a day before Titans. That makes the week of October 21 one of the busiest of the year for Malayalam releases.
Milind Soman's presence gives the film a familiar face for viewers outside Kerala.
