Dulquer Salmaan's I'm Game is heading to streaming. The action thriller will be available on JioHotstar from October 16, six weeks after it opened in theatres on September 3, reports suggest.

The film
I'm Game marked Dulquer's return to a Malayalam lead role after a long gap. Nahas Hidhayath, who made RDX, directed I'm Game from his own story. Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu and Ismail Aboobacker wrote the screenplay, and Adarsh Sukumaran, Shabas Rasheed and Sajeer Baba wrote the dialogues.
Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. Mysskin, Antony Varghese, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Vinay Forrt and Kathir round out the cast. Jimshi Khalid handled the cinematography, Jakes Bejoy composed the score, and Chaman Chacko was the editor.

A second shot after a tough run
The streaming date follows a theatrical run that drew mixed reviews. The film was first meant to open on August 20, the Onam weekend that also had Khalifa and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, and was pushed to September after post-production ran late.
On October 7, Dulquer replied on X to a fan who blamed Wayfarer Films for how the release went. He did not argue. "I'm not saying you were wrong in your analysis. You were mostly right," he wrote. "But there are just times when from our end we can do everything right. But outside factors or other circumstances can turn those upside down."

He added that he would stand by his team and that anyone who wanted to blame someone could blame him.
