Dulquer's Telugu track record
Telugu has been good to Dulquer. His first Telugu film, Mahanati (2018), cast him as Gemini Ganesan opposite Keerthy Suresh. Sita Ramam (2022) was a period romance. Lucky Baskhar (2024), a financial thriller, did well at the box office. Swapna Cinema, presenting Aakasamlo Oka Tara with Geetha Arts, also backed Mahanati.
What is different this time is the tone. The early look suggests a rooted, rural drama, unlike the period romance of Sita Ramam or the bank-scam world of Lucky Baskhar.
Back home, his action thriller I'm Game, directed by Nahas Hidhayath, was his most recent release.
