OM: a reunion with the Amaran director
OM reunites Sai Pallavi with Rajkumar Periasamy, who directed her as Indhu in Amaran (2024), their first film together. In his posts, Periasamy introduced her as Nithya Reddy, and the short teaser shows a police uniform badge bearing that name. IANS reported that she plays a policewoman.

The film reportedly stars Dhanush, Mammootty, Naseeruddin Shah, Sreeleela and Indrans, with music by Sai Abhyankkar, according to The Hindu. It is reportedly her first film with Mammootty. Mammootty confirmed the November 20 worldwide date on X, and the film moved from October 16 out of respect for Jailer 2, per a statement from Dhanush reported by IANS. Periasamy has also spoken about Mammootty's quick reply to his synopsis.
Back with Dhanush after Maari 2
This is not her first outing with Dhanush. She played Araathu Aanandi, Maari's wife, in Balaji Mohan's Maari 2 (2018), the film behind the hit song Rowdy Baby. Maari 2 was also a Wunderbar Films production, the same banner behind OM. That film also had a Malayalam link: Tovino Thomas played the villain.
Ramayana first, on November 5
Before OM, she appears as Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor's Rama in Ramayana, with Yash as Ravana, per the official site. The release moved up a day to November 5. The film gets a premiere in Los Angeles on October 27, and its Malayalam trailer is already out.
A crowded November 20
OM shares its date with Dulquer Salmaan's Telugu film, as covered in our Aakasamlo Oka Tara clash story. For the full slate, see our November releases guide.
