November is a crowded month in Kerala theatres, with a Diwali opening, two crowded weekends and a Mammootty-Dulquer face-off. This guide lists every confirmed and reported release, week by week, with dates, cast and our quick verdict on each, and is updated as dates change.
November 2026 at a glance
Nov 5: Ramayana: Part 1 (Hindi, Malayalam version reported)
Nov 6: Scene (Tamil), Mookuthi Amman 2 (Tamil, also in Malayalam)
Nov 12: Bouma (Malayalam, reported)
Nov 19: Bachelor Party D'eux (Malayalam, reported)
Nov 20: OM – Chapter 1 (Tamil), Aakasamlo Oka Tara (Telugu), Sathyavan Savithiri (Tamil)
Nov 27: Prempaatta (Malayalam, reported), Cosmic Samson (Malayalam)
Dates marked "reported" come from media reports, not an official post from the makers.
Week 1: Diwali opens with a clash (Nov 5-6)
Three big films open in two days, all chasing the Diwali crowd.
1. Ramayana: Part 1 (Nov 5)

- Release: November 5, per Sony Pictures' official site
- Director: Nitesh Tiwari
- Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey; Shobana as Kaikeyi (reported)
- Language: Hindi; a Malayalam version is reported, with AVA Productions distributing in Kerala (reported)
Our take: This is the month's biggest gamble on spectacle. If the scale works, it could dominate Diwali weekend; if not, the films a day later get room. Watch it on the biggest screen you can. See Ramayana: Rise of a Legend and our advance bookings story.
2. Scene (Nov 6)

- Release: November 6, confirmed by Zhagaram Studios
- Director: Jithu Madhavan
- Cast: Suriya, Nazriya Nazim, Naslen
- Language: Tamil, with a Telugu dub
Our take: For Malayali viewers this is the most interesting Tamil film of the month, because the voice behind it is so familiar. The question is whether Jithu Madhavan's playful style survives a star vehicle. Go in expecting a family film rather than another Singam. More in our Scene hub.
3. Mookuthi Amman 2 (Nov 6)

- Release: November 6, confirmed by Vels Film International
- Director: Sundar C
- Cast: Nayanthara, in a dual role (reported)
- Language: Tamil, also in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada; Bhavana Release brings it to Kerala
Our take: A devotional crowd-pleaser is the smart counter-programme to two heavyweight films. It rests on Nayanthara's screen presence. Best for a festive family outing. See Mookuthi Amman 2 and our Kerala release story.
Week 2: Bouma (Nov 12)
4. Bouma (Nov 12, reported)

- Release: November 12 (reported)
- Director: Rejin S Babu
- Cast: Vineeth, Dileesh Pothan, Sagar Surya, Lena, Aditi Balan
- Language: Malayalam, dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada
Our take: The quiet week after Diwali is the right slot for a Malayalam film to find word of mouth. A cast built on character actors rather than one star means the film itself has to do the selling. If you like ensemble dramas, keep this on your list. See Bouma and our release date story.
Week 3: The sequel and a three-way Friday (Nov 19-20)
5. Bachelor Party D'eux (Nov 19, reported)
@ttovino on XView post on X →
- Release: November 19 (reported)
- Director: Amal Neerad
- Cast: Naslen, Soubin Shahir, Sharafudheen, Kunchacko Boban, Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Rajisha Vijayan, Hansika Krishna
- Language: Malayalam
Our take: A steady run of character posters has kept this sequel in the conversation for weeks. Sequels rarely recapture an original's chaos, so the risk is real. Still, it looks like the best bet for a night out with friends. Our cast guide and film hub have more.
6. OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood (Nov 20)

- Release: November 20, confirmed by Mammootty
- Director: Rajkumar Periasamy
- Cast: Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah, Indrans (reported)
- Language: Tamil-led, multilingual (reported)
Our take: Mammootty sharing the frame with Dhanush is reason enough to book early. The bigger worry is the long title and a release that has already moved once. If it delivers, it's the month's mass event for Kerala audiences. See OM – Chapter 1.
7. Aakasamlo Oka Tara (Nov 20)

- Release: November 20, confirmed by Dulquer Salmaan
- Director: Pavan Sadineni
- Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Satvika Veeravalli, Shruti Haasan
- Language: Telugu, with a Tamil version
Our take: Opening against his father's film makes this the month's most talked-about clash. The gentle look of the posters suggests it isn't trying to compete on scale, which may be its strength. Pick this one if you want something softer that weekend. See Aakasamlo Oka Tara and our teaser story.
8. Sathyavan Savithiri (Nov 20)

- Release: November 20, confirmed by Keerthy Suresh
- Director: Praveen S Vijaay
- Cast: Keerthy Suresh, Mysskin
- Language: Tamil, with a Telugu dub
Our take: The third film on an already packed Friday, and the one most likely to get squeezed for screens. A debut director and a Keerthy-Mysskin pairing make it the curiosity pick. Catch it early before the shows thin out. See Sathyavan Savithiri.
Week 4: Two Malayalam films close the month (Nov 27)
9. Prempaatta (Nov 27, reported)
- Release: November 27 (reported)
- Director: Aamir Pallikkal
- Cast: Joemon Jyothir, Saiju Kurup, Anusree, Siddique, Rajesh Madhavan, Bibin Perumballi
- Language: Malayalam
Our take: A smaller ensemble film at the end of a heavy month could be just what audiences want. Without a big star, it needs word of mouth to survive. A good change of pace after the mass releases. See our release date story.
10. Cosmic Samson (Nov 27)

- Release: November 27, confirmed by Weekend Blockbusters
- Director: Abhijith Joseph
- Cast: Sandeep Pradeep, Mukesh, Miya George, Althaf Salim, Alphonse Puthren
- Language: Malayalam
Our take: The poster's tilted, playful world is the most visually ambitious of the month's Malayalam titles, and that is the draw. Ambition is hard to pull off, so temper expectations. For younger viewers, it's the most fun-looking pick. See Cosmic Samson and our release date story.
Coming next: Padayaatra (Dec 4)

Mammootty confirmed that Padayaatra, directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, opens on December 4. It reunites the two after 32 years, with Indrans, Grace Antony and Alencier Ley Lopez in the cast. Read our release date story.
The clash weekends, and what they mean for Kerala
Diwali weekend (Nov 5-6) gives Kerala audiences three very different options. Ramayana is the scale play, and Shobana's role as Kaikeyi (reported) gives it a Malayalam hook. Scene is a Tamil film with a Malayali core: Jithu Madhavan directs, Sushin Shyam composes, and Naslen and Nazriya are in the cast. Mookuthi Amman 2 arrives with its own Malayalam version through Bhavana Release, the same Kerala distributor handling Bouma a week later.
November 20 is the bigger story for Malayali fans. OM – Chapter 1 has Mammootty and Indrans, Aakasamlo Oka Tara has Dulquer Salmaan, and the two openings have been billed as a Mammootty vs Dulquer clash, according to reports. Sathyavan Savithiri, led by Keerthy Suresh, makes it a three-film Friday. The Malayalam films sit outside both clashes: Bouma on Nov 12, Bachelor Party D'eux a day before the Nov 20 rush, and Prempaatta and Cosmic Samson together on Nov 27.
How to pick
For spectacle, start with Ramayana. For a Malayali team in a Tamil film, choose Scene. Friends' night out: Bachelor Party D'eux. Families: Mookuthi Amman 2 or Prempaatta.
