Ramayana: Rise of a Legend (Part 1) has a U certificate and a runtime of 3 hours 15 minutes (195 minutes), as listed on BookMyShow. The makers have not confirmed either detail, and the film does not yet appear on the CBFC website.
The film opens in cinemas worldwide on November 5, and bookings are open. World of Ramayana's post on X confirms the date and bookings, but not the certificate or runtime.

A film for the whole family
A U certificate means the film is open to viewers of all ages, so families can go together over the festive weekend. At 195 minutes, it is a long sit. Ramayana releases in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The Kerala connections
Sai Pallavi plays Sita, opposite Ranbir Kapoor as Rama. Yash plays Ravana. Shobana plays Kaikesi, Ravana's mother, as we reported from the Malayalam trailer.
The Malayalam version of the "Ravana Tandav" song, "Ravana Tandavam", came out on October 21, with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar and vocals by Yadu Krishnan K. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer compose the film's music.
The team behind the film
Nitesh Tiwari directs Ramayana, and Namit Malhotra produces it through Prime Focus. The film is planned in two parts, with Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi leading the cast.
What about Part 2?
Ramayana Part 2 was originally planned for Diwali 2027. Recent reports from India Today and The Times of India say the sequel may miss that date because the makers need more shooting time for the war sequences, and Bollywood Hungama reported that it could move to Diwali 2028. The makers have not announced a new date.
Why the runtime matters
Once the CBFC certificate is public, it will confirm the final runtime and rating. Until then, the BookMyShow listing is the only source for the 195-minute figure. We will update this story once the makers or the CBFC confirm it. Ramayana opens on November 5, a day before Mookuthi Amman 2.
