Here is how the promotions have built up so far.
June 18: title and first teaser
The makers revealed the title and the first teaser, OM First Strike, on June 18, as The Hindu and Indian Express reported. Divo Music, the official label, released the teaser on YouTube. At that point the film was set for October 16.
September 7: Mammootty's Burma Karthikeyan
On Mammootty's 75th birthday, the makers introduced his character, Burma Karthikeyan, also called Siya, in a video released by Divo. India Today, The Hindu and Filmfare covered the reveal. OM is Mammootty's first Tamil film since Peranbu (2019), as Filmfare and India Today reported.
The move to November 20
OM later moved from October 16 to November 20. The Times of India and Times Now reported the shift, and Mammootty shared the new date himself.
October 19 and 26: a song and a glimpse
Veezha Veera, the second single, released at 6:30 PM IST on October 19, Wunderbar Films confirmed. Tippu and Sai Abhyankkar sing it, and Arun Srinivasan wrote the lyrics. The Telugu and Hindi versions are titled Veera Veera. Our Veezha Veera story has more on the track.
On October 26, Wunderbar introduced Sai Pallavi as Nithya Reddy with a glimpse titled OM Special Duty. Our OM cast guide covers every confirmed character.
October 31: Kerala rights

What to expect on November 20

The film opens on the same day as Dulquer Salmaan's AakasamLo Oka Tara, as Times Now and Variety India reported. Our AakasamLo Oka Tara teaser story looks at that clash.
