The trailer of Scene, the Tamil film starring Suriya and directed by Jithu Madhavan, is out. Sony Music South released it on YouTube on October 31, and it runs about two minutes and 40 seconds. Suriya shared it on X with the line "Murder. Mystery. Madness… and a whole lot of laughter!"

What the Scene trailer shows
The trailer opens on the Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment logos and moves into a cluttered home and a busy office. A title card introduces Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, and he is seen in a black shirt on a crowded street and in rooms full of uniformed policemen. One shot shows policemen holding a man down on a staircase, while another shows a man lying on a sofa, tossing a yellow ball.
A second card introduces Naslen as Eeswaran, who appears in a checked shirt in several tense, darker scenes. Nazriya Nazim is seen in the back seat of a car with two other passengers. The official trailer's own card introduces her as Maya.
The cut keeps switching between thriller and comedy. There is a group of friends crowding into a frame, an older man with headphones flinching on a couch, a fire in a dark yard, a car chase seen from above and a man flying over a moving car. The last stretch shows a garlanded figure raised over a crowd before the cards for producers Jyotika and Suriya and the release line, "In cinemas worldwide November 6".

Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment produce the film. Suriya and Jyotika are the producers, with Jayshree Damodaran as co-producer, according to Cinema Express. The film runs about 149 minutes per CBFC listing (Cinema Express). The makers announced the U/A certificate on X on October 28.
Release in Kerala
Gokulam Movies is the official Kerala distributor, as Zhagaram and Gokulam Movies both posted on X. After the theatrical run, the film will stream on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, as Zhagaram announced in January.
Suriya has already spoken about his cop role, saying there is no comparison with Kaakha Kaakha or Singam. Jithu Madhavan has also said that Scene began with Fahadh and Nazriya in mind. More on the film is on our Scene page.
Our take
The trailer sells Scene as a crowd-pleaser first and a mystery second. It gives away little about the case and leans on Suriya's screen presence and quick comic beats. If the film holds that balance across 149 minutes, it has a strong shot at the Diwali crowd.
