On Mammootty's 75th birthday, the makers introduced his character, Burma Karthikeyan, also called Siya, in a video released by Divo. India Today, The Hindu and Filmfare covered the reveal. OM is Mammootty's first Tamil film since Peranbu (2019), as Filmfare and India Today reported.
The move to November 20
OM later moved from October 16 to November 20. The Times of India and Times Now reported the shift, and Mammootty shared the new date himself.
October 19 and 26: a song and a glimpse
